Helping Students Grow Deep Roots of Faith
Rooted Youth is a place for students in Grades 5–8 to build friendships, ask questions, explore faith, and discover what it means to follow Jesus.
Why Rooted?
We call our group Rooted because the middle school years are an important time for putting down strong roots.
During these years, students begin asking bigger questions about who they are, what they believe, and where they fit. Rooted gives them a place to explore those questions, learn from Scripture, ask questions about Jesus, and discover what it means to follow Him. We want every student to feel welcome, whether faith is already an important part of their life or they’re just beginning to ask questions.
We believe that when students put down deep roots through relationships, Scripture, and a growing connection with Jesus, they are better prepared to grow strong in their faith and navigate whatever comes their way.
Schedule
The 2026–2027 Rooted Youth season launches Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Rooted meets every Tuesday from 6:30–8:00 PM at Calvary Pentecostal Church, unless otherwise announced.
What to Expect
Every Rooted night is designed to be fun, relational, and meaningful.
Students will have time to hang out and connect with friends, followed by engaging teaching and discussion as we explore Scripture through videos, conversation, and practical application. We’ll also share snacks and spend some time in worship as a response to what we’re learning. After that, students take part in high-energy games and icebreakers that build community and help everyone feel included. The night wraps up with another hangout time, giving students space to connect, ask questions, and wind down before heading home.

- All leaders are screened and trained.
- Vulnerable Sector Checks are required for all leaders.
- Registration and attendance are tracked.
- Safe physical contact guidelines are followed.
- Allergy awareness is maintained for all snacks.
